Pole dance is suitable for women of all ages and any fitness level. You are able to work at your own pace and to your own ability. Your fitness levels and strength will progress as you advance. You will never be made to do anything that is outside of your comfort zone.
It's important that you feel comfortable in class, but bearing in mind that you'll need bare skin to facilitate grip I would recommend shorts and a vest top. However, tracksuit or jogging bottoms are ok to begin with.
Jewellery should be taken off as it can damage the pole and the skin should be free from all moisturisers and fake tan as this can make the pole slippery and therefore dangerous.
Some women do find it easier than others, everyone has their own strengths and weaknesses and we can help you find spins and tricks that suit you as an individual.
